TCSoft / About us

There’s life in these old machines yet.

TCSoft makes new games for BBC Micro and Commodore Amiga, with Sega Dreamcast in development.

New games. Original machines.

We like the directness of a good arcade game. A few controls, a clear challenge, and the hope that this time you’ll get a little further.

The TCSoft collection brings new games to BBC Micro and Commodore Amiga: Croak’s road and river, Scarab’s Egyptian night, Cubit’s colourful puzzle and the witch’s cursed orchard in Wyrm. Next comes Sega Dreamcast, starting with Croak rebuilt in 3D.

Play it. Keep it.

We’re preparing digital downloads, floppy discs and boxed editions. Something to load, something to play and, if you like, something to keep.

No adverts. No tracking.

Most “free” games aren’t really free. You still pay, just not with money. You pay by watching adverts, and by having your data sold on to whoever bids for it.

TCSoft doesn’t make that trade. No adverts, no analytics, no online component, nothing phoning home. You buy a game once, and that’s the whole transaction: what you get is what you paid for, with nothing else running in the background.

That’s also how this studio pays its way. Game sales, especially the bespoke commissions, are the only revenue there is. Buying a game is what keeps a small, independent studio able to make the next one.

We also make bespoke games for events, weddings and other occasions.
